What attracted you to The Orangery?
The lighting was truly amazing. We visited for the first time during the winter and even then the whole place was flooded with natural light.
Did your wedding have a theme?
We didn’t have a theme, but we did want everything to be natural and not contrived. We had a lot of green and white. All the foliage and flowers were real and we even had 2 real trees that framed the two of us during the ceremony. The two trees are now planted in our garden.
Tell us about your ceremony.
Our ceremony was really low-key. We walked down the aisle together whilst an orchestral version of Chasing Cars played in the background. Nobody ‘gave us away’ as we didn’t want any formality to our ceremony. We also had two readings, one in Welsh and one in English.
What is your favourite memory of the day?
One of our favourite memories was the amazing feeling of turning around together after the ceremony and seeing all our friends and family smiling back at us.
